Preaching the Gospel at Bele Chere 2010
Every year our “main event’” is Bele Chere which means “Beautiful Life” in Asheville, NC. It’s a huge (arts) street festival that packs hundreds of thousands of people for three days at the third week in July. The people there are heavily involved in the occult, paganism and witch craft. As well as incredibly universalistic and post-modern. I enjoy Asheville because there is ton’s of confusion as to “who” God is. Everyone in Asheville will tell you that God is Love. In fact that’s the only thing they know about God.
I got to speak to one lady not to long after the video below about her knowledge of the Love of God. She told me that God was “All Loving” and could not be Angry. To which I asked her is she would be angry if someone she loved was savagely murdered. She said “of course!” to which I replied “Well how then could you have any love, if you were angry?”
All this to say that Asheville is a great place to really expound on th atrributes of God and the completeness of Christ as shown on the Cross of Calvary.
Below a friend of mine, Andrew Burgess recorded this video of me preaching the Gospel and uplifting the excellencies of Christ at Bele Chere 2010 and below that is videos of other friends of mine preaching Christ this weekend as well.

While I respect your right to freedom of speech, I'm guessing your tactics do little more than make you feel good about yourselves. I'm willing to bet that you didn't 'save' a single soul.

Great videos. Did you catch the end of the Kris Estep video… when a man came by with a sheet of paper with a grid on it? That was one of those games where you've got to mark off the grid the things you've done (kinda like a scavenger hunt) and if you're the first one to get your sheet completed you win. Sad that somebody thought incorporating the preaching of God's word into a silly little game. And I'm sure that was just the tip of the iceberg for what went on at Belle Chere. I wish I could have been there to support my brothers and sisters in Christ.

@D.B. Cooper This method was used by Jesus Christ Himself. Being that He is the model that every true Christian strives to follow, it does much more than make one feel good about himself. The open air preacher's joy comes from the opportunity to proclaim the good news to lost men & women. Your last statement is 100% correct. God is the only one who can 'save' a soul.

It was a pleasure to be with you on the streets, reasoning from the Scriptures to the lost. I hope we will get to minister together in the near future.
Grace and peace,
